About Us

The Williams Lake Pride Society exists to provide a safe and positive social space for members of the LGBTQIA2+ community in Williams Lake and the Cariboo region.

Quick Facts:

  • Williams Lake Pride was initially formed as a Committee in November, 2017.

  • The Williams Lake Pride Society was incorporated as a non-profit in September, 2018 under the B.C Societies Act.

  • Williams Lake Pride is entirely volunteer driven.

We believe in a city that is safe and accepting for all citizens, especially its LGBTQIA2S+ community.

Our Mission

The Williams Lake Pride Society aims to create a safe and accepting community in Williams Lake through the facilitation of community social gatherings, educational workshops and broadly positive experiences for  LGBTQIA2S+ people, community allies and all other city residents.

Our Vision

At the Williams Lake Pride Society, we believe in promoting LGBTQIA2S+ visibility and rights within the Cariboo. We believe that through community, tolerance, education, social connections and understanding, it is possible to build a stronger and safer Williams Lake for all community members.

Help us to support LGBTQIA2S+ initiatives in the Cariboo!
